BMJ Best Practice is a point of care tool. Ranked as one of the best clinical decision tools available, it is designed to guide diagnosis and treatment by providing instant access to synthesised expert opinion and evidence.

BMJ Learning provides online education for medical and health professionals. Based on Best Practice and Evidenced Based Learning. With free access via Monash Health, and courses in various areas of medicine

       

Register for an account

Before using the app,create an account for BMJ Best Practice:

  1. When onsite on a Monash Health computer click this link to BMJ Best Practice registration.
  2. Enter your Monash Health email [jo.citizen@monashhealth.org] and create a password
  3. Tick box to agree with terms and conditions.
  4. Optional: Tick box to receive information from BMJ
  5. Click Create Account.

 


Mobile App

The mobile app now offers two methods of access.

Offsite - Log in with an account

  1. Download the app from the Google Play or Apple store.
  2. Click on the Log In button
  3. Log in using your details created above.

Onsite - Log in using WiFi

  1. Connect your mobile to the Monash Health WiFi (MHWIFI)
  2. Download the app from the Google Play or Apple store.
  3. Click on the 'Network/WiFi' option.
    1. The app will automatically check that you are connected to the Monash Health WiFi.
    2. When accessing the app for the first time, it will download clinical information so you can use it offline. This can take up to 5 minutes.

BMJ Learning

Create a personal account to access courses for free. Two methods:

  1. When onsite on a Monash Health computer, click BMJ Learning and register using your MH email address [jo.citizen@monashhealth.org].
  2. If you already have a BMJ Best Practice account use those details to login. 

NOTE: Do not click 'sign-up' as this will take you to a page asking for payment

BMJ Learning is the world’s leading provider of online education for medical and health professionals. With courses including areas:

Access to hundreds of independent, evidence-based modules covering a range of specialties in text, video and audio formats.

Pause and restart at any time you like, keep track of them in your own personalised BMJ Portfolio, and receive a certificate after completing each one.
