A research consultation is a one-on-one appointment with a Monash Health librarian for guidance on how to search systematically and incorporate advanced search strategies in your research. Prior to your consultation we will review your research question. We will then meet with you (virtually or in person) to provide in-depth guidance on topics such as:

  • Formulating a clinical question using the PICO framework.
  • Developing a reproducible and targeted search strategy.
  • Which databases to search for your question.
  • Selecting resources and obtaining the full text.

Please note that research consultations must be booked at least one week in advance.
