Searching

AccessPediatrics utilises a simple, easy to use search feature. The search bar can be found at  the top of all pages. Search terms can quickly be filled-out with the auto-suggest feature. Exact phrase searching is available using quotations.

The Boolean operator "AND" is implied by default in searches, though "NOT" and "OR" are not. For example, if you search "diabetes falls" into the search it will automatically search "diabetes AND falls" but if you want to search "diabetes or falls" you need to add "or" into your search. This also applies to "not".

Advanced search features are available through Modify Search and Filter Results on the left hand side of the results page. This allows you to:

Focus a search by modifying the terms (keyword, title, author, ISBN)
Filter results by format (book, cases, multimedia, etc.)
Select textbooks to see results by specific titles
Narrow results by topics
