A novel Swedish study investigated ghrelin’s effects on decision-making beyond food or drug rewards. The authors concluded that ghrelin did not affect sensitivity to monetary rewards, but did impact loss aversion and discounting rates.
Mobile apps with anaphylaxis emergency action plans could potentially replace or supplement paper-based plans. However, current apps lack definitive advice for patients and carers on whether or not to administer epinephrine.
Discussing an association between menopause symptoms and adverse work outcomes, this paper recommends increased workplace support, such as employer training to increase awareness and improve communication surrounding the topic.

Although ischemic preconditioning has some beneficial effects in patients undergoing liver resection, there is insufficient evidence to support its routine use, according to a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective randomised trials.
