International Womens Day   Reading list for International Women’s Day
A list of inspirational reading materials has been compiled in
honor of International Women’s Day, which we celebrated
during March. The list of resources curated from our library
collection will allow you to explore research, stories and
issues by and about women in healthcare.

Clinical Overviews by ClinicalKey

Access handy Clinical Overviews in the ClinicalKey database. They offer evidence-based summaries of diagnoses, treatments, complications and prognosis information for health conditions in one easy-to-access page with links to dug monographs. For an example, see the Endometriosis Clinical Overview.

For more information open ClinicalKey from the A-Z database list or for set up instructions visit the ClinicalKey User Guide.

Updated! Getting Started with Research

According to Mark Twain, “the secret of getting ahead is getting started” ... although it does not follow that getting starting is easy – particularly when starting a research project!

For help getting started, check the ‘Planning a Research Project’ guide in the Research Toolkit. The step-by-step structure will guide you through the process of planning your research project including  developing a protocol, study designs, planning for data and seeking approvals.

Accreditation

Accreditation was a significant focus throughout the month of March. The library offers a range of services that support evidence based practice all year long, such as: quick access to articles upon request, training in research skills and literature searching by a librarian for updating PROMPT procedures or quality improvement projects.

Find out about all the ways the library supports accreditation  on the our website.

Congratulations to Siobhan McNally, Corey Joseph and Sarah Milne for publishing their systematic review 'Group versus individual delivery of upper limb intervention for adults post-stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis'. This research was initiated during the allied health ‘Stepping into Research’ program which won a Monash Health STAR award in 2023.
