NEW! Extended hours for Library support
From Monday, 3rd June, you can get on-the-spot support from the Library team between 8am – 5:30pm, Mon-Fri. Receive real-time assistance via our live online chat, 9594 2600, or via library@monashhealth.org. Remember: our onsite libraries are open 24/7 using your employee swipe card!

NEW! Evidence reports in the MHRR
You can now browse evidence reports in the Monash Health Research Repository (MHRR). These literature review-style reports are on a wide range of topics, from ward round models to management of surgical drains. Referencing made easier
Our online referencing guidance helps you to tackle the necessary evil of referencing. Find guides for common referencing styles – APA 7Vancouver, and Harvard – with examples tailored to Monash Health employees and researchers. See a comparison of reference managers, access user guides for the top options, or register for the next EndNote Demo and Q&A.

Our collection is always evolving. See a full list of our new books here.

Library FAQs
Did you know that we have a Frequently Asked Questions page on the Library website? Popular questions include afterhours access to our onsite libraries (visit us anytime using your staff swipe card), Library locations, and printing. Remember that library staff are available via online chat to handle any queries you might have.

Conference poster templates now in 16:9
Downloadable Monash Health-branded conference poster templates are now available in 16:9 aspect ratio for virtual presentation. These editable PowerPoint templates come in a variety of layouts and feature embedded guidance on font size and content. See also our PDF guide to Creating Conference Posters, or attend our next online workshop on 29th May.

If you use one of these templates to create a conference poster, please send your poster to library@monashhealth.org. We will be showcasing Monash Health posters in the MMC library later this year (stay tuned for upcoming competition details). We will also add your work to the Monash Health Research Repository. You can view a poster created by Library Director Alice Anderson here.

Time & cost savings via the Library
The recent Every Little Helps campaign is a great reminder that financial sustainability includes making use of the Library’s thousands of shared resources. Before purchasing a full-text article or book, or subscribing to a new journal or clinical resource, check to see if we already have it. If not, suggest a new resource for the Library to purchase and make available to all Monash Health employees.

Read our full-text journals in BrowZine.

Did you know? The Monash Health Research Repository (MHRR) receives approx. 60,000 views per month on average. If you don’t already have a MHRR Researcher Profile, now is the time to create your own.

Congratulations to Bridget Taylor and Glenda McLean on receiving a Wiley Top Cited Article Award for 2022-2023! Their paper on virtual reality in imaging education was a high performer in the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences.

Celebration is also in order for Monash Health researchers who received 2024 grants from the Norman Beischer Medical Research Foundation. Among the recipients are Dr Scott Stansfield, Dr Carmel Walsh, and A/Prof Kirsten Palmer.
